Christmas at Greenway

Dates through December

Christmas at Greenway

This December Greenway will be going back in time to the 1950s.

Christmas in the house

The 1950s cinema theme will be complemented by the 1950s Christmas decorations in the house. Retro toys will be waiting to be wrapped and played with, along with stories and pictures of family celebrations on display. You'll be invited to share stories of your childhood Christmas traditions and to get involved in making paper chains and other decorations. There will be Christmas songs from the fifties played at the piano; sure to prompt a sing-along, and a display will show the scripts from the films shown in the cinema.

1950's Pop Up Cinema

A pop-up 1950s Christmas cinema is coming to Greenway, with a collection of films curated by Agatha Christie's grandson Mathew Prichard. On weekends in December and between Christmas and New Year, vintage Christie films will all be shown in a cosy 1950s-styled marquee in the garden, and the house will be decorated for a 1950s Christmas.

Carols in the courtyard

On Sunday 17 December the choir will be tuning up, ready for carols in the courtyard. Why not come along for this free sing-along followed by mince pies?

Normal admission applies. However join the National Trust and get in here and at over 500 other places for free.
