Pilgrim is the oldest surviving trawler built and rigged in Brixham. Visitors can come aboard and see how they did things in 1895 and explore Brixham’s unique fishing and sailing heritage.
Tour Guides will tell you all about Pilgrim and the part she played in the fishing industry in late Victorian Brixham. You will also be able to find out what Pilgrim did and where she went for 87 years between 1912 and when she returned to Brixham in 1999. After that there’s the amazing story of her restoration and her travels since she started sailing again in 2013.
Visitors are also welcome to go down below and see how Pilgrim is fitted out to accommodate sailing guests today.
Pilgrim is owned and operated by the Pilgrim Heritage Sailing Foundation, a registered charity and run by volunteers. They sail the delightful coasts of Devon and Cornwall, cruise to the Channel Islands and beautiful Brittany and also out to the stunning Isles of Scilly.
Public Guided Tours are available on the dates and times set out below.
