Brixham Museum & History Society was founded in December 1957 to record, preserve and promote the story of the historic town and its people.

Presentations and activity sessions are provided for schools and youth organisations and we have also worked closely with Adult Education services. The museum has provided placements within the Torbay Schools Work Experience

Exhibitions include:

  •  Brixham  In The Great War 1914-1918
  •  Life In Victorian Brixham
  •  Napoleonic Berry Head 1793- 1815
  •  Fishing & Ropemaking
  •  Archaeology & Geology
  •  Brixham Bone Caves
